My name is Josh Patterson and I am excited to serve St. Peter’s community. I am a former pastor turned brewer (it’s a long story but I’d be happy to share with you sometime) and a big time theology/philosophy nerd. More specifically I am a Process-Relational thinker who seeks to follow Jesus in our every changing world, our expanding universe and our pluralistic society. I host a podcast called (Re)thinking Faith where I have the privilege of interviewing leading scholars in the fields of theology, philosophy, biblical studies, psychology, neuroscience and more!
I am a published author, most recently featured in the book “Deconstructing Hell: Open and Relational Responses to the Doctrine of Eternal Conscious Torment”. I am also currently in an accelerated masters program with the intent of entering into a doctoral program upon completion of my masters.
My wife Noelle and I started dating when we were freshman in high school and just celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary back in July. We don’t have any kids yet, but we have 3 dogs (Knox, Katara, & Lola) and a cat (Banksy).
I love books, theology, philosophy, ice hockey, good beer, professional wrestling (the fake kind), traveling and spending time with my friends and family. I am excited to be joining a faith community once again who aligns with my own personal values. I look forward to meeting everybody and for what is to come at St. Peter’s.
